Application Deadline: Monday, March 11!

This group is for you if:

  • You are an engineer

  • You have 5+ years of industry experience

  • You feel stuck in your career for any reason *except* technical ability, and you want to get to the next level

You might find yourself stuck on: influencing people; managing direct reports; navigating emotions, especially around big, ambiguous engineering problems; finding purpose in work; and/or balancing work with wellbeing. These are the areas I coach engineers on most often in my one-on-one sessions.

That “next level” might be a promotion, working on projects that you love, deepened confidence, enjoying your colleagues, or winning back time for the rest of your life.

I coach a lot of fabulous engineers. When they're up against something hard, or when they say something brilliant, I think of three or four other people in the same situation. I think, “Other people need to hear this. Also, you're not alone. How can you do this in community?”

This pilot program is your chance to do just that: unlock the “soft” skills that will take your career to the next level, in the company of people who can grow from your experience and lend your theirs.

Since this is a pilot, I’m offering the program for $800.

Schedule

We’ll meet weekly for eight weeks over Zoom. Each session is 1.5h long.

We will start on the first week of April, when the spring flowers begin to sprout from the circuit boards.

When you apply, tell me your availability. I’ll pick the time that works the best for the most people.

Structure

The group will have five to eight people in it. Most people will be meeting for the first time. If you’d like to participate with a colleague or friend, mention that in your application and let’s think that through together.

In our first sessions, we’ll get to know each other, set our goals, and plan how we’ll work together. Then we’ll get into a flow of working our plan. I’ll facilitate the sessions and bring in resources from my training and experience. I’ll invite and challenge group members to set our direction and share their knowledge as well. We’ll end the series with reflection and celebration.

Though we may share information, we won’t be working from a curriculum. Just like one-on-one coaching, growth in the group comes from exploring together.

How to Apply

First, complete the written application (click the link below).

Second, have a 15-minute interview with me. I’ll reach out to schedule an interview once I’ve reviewed your application. We’ll briefly get to know each other and make sure this is a good fit.

Then, make a $200 deposit to secure your place.
